I grew up way out in the sticks of western Ouachita Parish. My parents say that I was singing as soon as I was talking, and the first song I ever sang in church was an a capella version of Amazing Grace at the age of 5. I've been singing ever since, and I am humbled by the passion for worship that God has placed in my life. I have served in two churches prior to coming to North Monroe in 2005.
I married Kelli Allen on December 9, 2006, after dating for 4 years. Kelli is an occupational therapist and works at a few local nursing homes. I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelors of Science in Radiologic Technology. In addition to my ministry at North Monroe, I also work at St. Francis North Hospital taking x-rays. Kelli and I love to sleep late and watch our favorite TV shows together. We also love to go to the movies and eat at Outback or Taco Bell, depending on our mood (or budget). I like all kinds of music. I grew up on country, I can handle some rock every now and then, and I even know some oldies that came out before I entered the world. I usually keep my iPod on shuffle to make sure all my songs feel included, but if I stray away to choosing an album - it's usually Brandon Heath's What If We. My favorite song changes all the time, but right now my favorite is Shadowfeet by Brooke Fraser. My favorite hymn is Blessed Assurance. Although we have none yet, Kelli and I hope to have three children and live happily ever after.
